JUKI, Sony SMT Equipment Merger

JUKI Corporation and Sony Corporation have signed a non-binding memorandum of intent to carry on the discussion about the possible integration of SMT equipment and related companies of Sony EMCS and JUKI Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony, in a newly created company. This integration aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the equipment of each company SMT and related businesses. The new company will be established by the capital injection of JUKI and Sony, respectively, with JUKI holding more than two-thirds of the total shares.

Again the time to look to next year already arrived. In this month's column will have a long-term view on pulses market on the world stage early, and technological trends in selected areas considered critical and relevant to the industry.
